Job Duties
Drive tractors: prepare fields for planting crops, plant, cultivate and harvest crops; plant and tend to plots to control grass and weeds unload and store seeds and supplies; haul seeds, fuel to the field. Perform general farm labor jobs: maintenance on farm equipment (clean, oil, repair); repair fences; repair and clean farm buildings (sheds, barns, etc.); mow areas around buildings and keep clean and free from debris; Spray herbicides to control weeds and grass. Bale hay, care for livestock (transfer from one pasture to another, spraying for insects, etc.) Alternative work includes general farm maintenance, cleaning shed areas, etc. Use hoes, shovels, wrenches, etc. Drive farm trucks.
