In the winter the trees are dormant and this is the time that the trees are in need of pruning by hand. This is the sole purpose for the request for employees at this time. In the spring the employees will also help in the planting of new trees and installation of the support systems on the trees. In the midst of all this they will also be doing general farm labor which consists of, hand thinning fruit, picking rocks and other debris, mulch, pruning, cutting shoots and suckers, raking and cutting debris, inserting and removing tree spreaders, pulling and cutting thorny plants from around trees. Hand placement of rodent bait around trees. Operating and maintenance of other tractors and other farm equipment. Cleaning and clearing fence rows and farm buildings. Irrigation ditching, shoveling, hoeing, hauling, ground preparation and other general farm related tasks. Employer expects workers to work with or without supervision.
