Workers are needed for summer time work in horseradish produced on land controlled by Bluff View Farm, Inc. At least three months experience on a horseradish production farm is required. Some sorting and packing of horseradish may be required to manage left over inventory. Workers must be skilled in weed control in horseradish and have the ability to lift and sucker horseradish plants. Prior hoeing and weed removal experience in the crop will help avoid thinning and damage to the established crop. Workers must be able to work as a team and be able to tolerate long periods of bending and stooping during summer time heat and humidity. Steady and reliable attendance is expected. The owner or a supervisor will make daily individual or crew assignments and the location of work as the need of the operation dictates. Duties may vary daily and in the field could include lifting, suckering, hoeing and weeding. Around the farmstead, duties may include sorting, packing, mowing, cleaning horseradish equipment or packing sheds; especially if weather delays field activities.
